                                       German Shepherd The German Shepherd originates from Germany. It weighs from 30-40kg when fully grown and is 60-65cm in height. Its coat is usually brown and partially black. They are usually used for herding sheep but more recently have become popular in assisting disabled people, police, search and rescue and also certain areas of the army.

                                                 Poodle The origin of the poodle isn't certain but is believed to have come from either France, Germany or parts of Africa. It has been ranked as the second most popular breed of dog just behind the Border Collie. Poodles are popular in certain dog sports such as agility and obedience. The poodle has a curly coat and is usually black but can be different colours.

                                                Beagle The beagle originates from England and is also known as the English Beagle. It is a scent hound and is mainly used for hunting hare. It is also used as a detection dog around the world to detect banned substances or foods around the world. It has short hair which is usually a mix of white brown and black. It has a lifespan of 12-15 years. It is a popular pet due to its size and good temperament.

                       Golden Retrievers Golden retrievers originate from Scotland. The average weight of a male is 29-34kg and females range from 25-29kg. Their average height is 56-61cm for males and 51-56cm for females. They have a straight coat and are usually any shade of gold or cream. Their average life span is 10-12 years. Golden retrievers are used as gun dogs to fetch animals shot by hunters they are also popular dogs used for people with disabilities such as blindness. It is also the third most popular family dog in the USA.
